What does your dream life look like? Are you currently living your dream or still working on it?
My dream life currently looks like living Costa Rica and living a much simpler lifestyle. Since I’ve built my business I have more of the life that I want by working remote and making my own hours. The next step is to make the full move to Costa Rica.
Tell me more about what you do and who you help.
I’m a holistic health and weight loss coach. I work with both men & women who feel despair every time they look in the mirror and are sick of their own excuses.
I help them release weight and unleash their energy, so they love how they look both in and out of their clothes. What I really love most is watching the confidence built along my clients’ journeys.
What inspired you to start this business?
I was inspired to start this journey because I know firsthand that going back to basics and taking care of ourselves in the simplest form is actually the fastest and most sustainable way to look and feel better.
So often, we all chase the quick fix.
We all KNOW what we should be doing but many of us don’t follow through. And the reasons we don’t follow through and stay consistent are different for each of us.
What’s a challenge you’ve faced along your entrepreneurial journey?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced and continue to face is my personal growth and health ironically enough.
Sitting at a computer is much more sedentary than I’ve been used to in the past and I really love what I do so I work crazy hours.
I tend to be such a giver and supporter of others and I’ve really had to work on my boundaries and making myself a priority. It still is something I actively work on daily.
Has being an introvert affected your business?
I tend to not be very good at typically fun things. I find being productive and accomplishing goals fun.
I know myself enough to understand that I need time to myself to recharge so I never have FOMO or have a problem doing things independently. This has made it really to stay focused on my priorities and trust my intuition and not seek validation from others.
What methods do you use to bring in new clients?
I use social media, speaking on podcasts, and hosting wellness-related events to bring more visibility to myself and let people know I’m out here.
Is attending networking events a part of your marketing strategy?
Yes! I network a ton!
My circle of entrepreneurs really inspire me and are a great source of support. I’ve built some really great friendships and have so many doors opened for me through those relationships and obviously in return I try to do the same for them.
It’s a big giving circle in which we all benefit.
How do you define success for yourself and your business?
Success for me equals happiness.
Happiness for me is living where it’s summer year-round, working on my terms with the clients I enjoy and making sure I’m giving back in some way that fulfills me.
What advice would you give to other introverted women who are just starting their own businesses?
I would definitely tell introverted women starting a business to get a network of other like-minded women and do the self-growth and mindset work you need to level up. And obviously, remember the basics of taking care of yourself first.
What is something that you would like to see others do more of?
Go for it!
“It” being that thing you’ve always dreamt of. That thing you’ve always wanted to do but you were too scared. I promise you whatever “it” is. You can! It is possible.
Grant yourself the permission to go for it!
