Kateryn J Ferreira is Helping Others Heal Into Their Power

We want you to meet Kateryn J Ferreira of New York, NY. She is the founder of Geminme and has been in business for three years.

What does your dream life look like? Are you currently living your dream or still working on it?

I am currently empowering my community to heal generational trauma and transform into the best version of themselves, through self-development and mental wellness.

Tell us more about what you do.

I help first-generation Americans transform generational trauma into their power and purpose through community building and my podcast. I serve young latin American people through education and empowerment action steps.

What inspired you to start this business?

Growing up, I was a loner, very independent, and mature for my age. Throughout my life, I realized that I am a good connector and relator to others. I am passionate about helping others and empowering them to reach their greatest potential.

Therefore, I created Geminme to empower other first-generation Americans like myself to grow and heal into their power. I know how hard it is to feel alone and exhausted of fight against the norms and expectations.

How can I change my life through self-development and transformation?

Schedule a discovery call with me, and learn how you could work with me to become the best version of yourself. https://calendly.com/geminmeempowers/coachingcall

What’s a challenge you’ve faced along your entrepreneurial journey?

Entrepreneurship is not easy, especially when you were taught to go to school earn a degree, and get a good job. I was layoff about a year ago from my city job. This was truly a challenging experience, emotionally and mentally.

As first-gen, we take pride in our accomplishments, degrees, and titles. However, when you are stripped of these triumphs. You have to reinvent yourself to dig deep and find a greater value in yourself.

That has both challenged and fueled my mission as a business owner.

Has being an introvert affected your business?

Being an introvert is very challenging. I realized I enjoy connecting and bringing people together. However, it does drain my energy.

As an introvert, showing out and mingling takes much effort and energy. I continue to improve my ability to show out and I know my purpose is greater than my fears and limitations.

I no longer give my introverted nature, power over my ability to excel. I am in control of my life.

What methods do you use to bring in new clients?

I promote my business through my social media platforms, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and podcast.

Is attending networking events a part of your marketing strategy?

I love attending networking events.

I truly thrive in this space, while making connections and being in my element. Before any event, I do feel a bit closed out and shy. However, once I start speaking to people around me I feel much better about it and leap myself to connect.

How do you define success for yourself and your business?

Success for me is impact and value. If I am making an impact and adding value to my community and clients. I am a success.

What advice would you give to other introverted women who are just starting their own businesses?

Just start! Everyone is working on something without knowing it all.

I feel like as women we want to have all our ducks in a row. Entrepreneurship is about learning and growing. You will learn and improve as you go.
