We’re excited to learn all about Lisa Wimble from South Africa. She is a certified life coach and has been in business for 2 years.
What does your dream life look like? Are you currently living in it?
My dream life is one where I can live authentically and provide for my family whilst being able to help other people who are in need. I am living in gratitude for where I am currently as I never imagined it possible. But I’m still focusing on moving closer to the rainbow.
Tell me more about what you do and who you help.
I am a certified life coach and focus on supporting people by providing information on toxic relationships and divorce and how best to survive and thrive. These experiences are often devasting however, it’s important to focus on reframing the event as an opportunity to rebuild a new life for one’s self.
I encourage learning from past mistakes, healing and positively moving forward into a new chapter with new experiences without dragging along the baggage from the past.
What inspired you to start this business?
People were always so amazed and interested in my life experience and what I had to overcome and how I managed to escape my situation.
Through these discussions, I realized that I could actually help other people who were trapped in similar situations. I had to find a way and by sharing my knowledge with them I hope that I can help someone in need of support.
You’ve been in business for 2 years. What’s a challenge you’ve faced along your entrepreneurial journey?
Time is a challenge that I have faced. I’m still working on it as I’m a single mom of 5 boys and I need to juggle work and home life.

How has being an introvert affected your business?
Being an introvert has made it more difficult for me as I have had to find ways around putting myself out there, so to speak, whether it is online or public speaking.
I have had to push myself beyond my comfort zone and by doing this I realize that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to if you have the desire.
What methods do you use to bring in new clients?
I have a website and I use social media
Is attending networking events a part of your marketing strategy?
No, attending networking events is not part of my marketing strategy. I feel the reason for this is a lack of time and I don’t enjoy these kinds of experiences.
How do you define success for yourself and/or your business?
Success for me is rebuilding a life for myself and my children where we are free from abuse and able to live authentically and I can financially provide for us. Using my experience to be able to help others has made it all worth it and defines success for me.
What advice would you give to other introverted women who are just starting their own businesses?
When you feel overwhelmed, realize that it is normal and okay, just breathe. Never give up, keep going, if you take baby steps every day, you will look back after a period and be amazed at how far you have come.
