Say hello to Kenya R Ransom from Merrillville, IN, USA. Her dream looks like having multiple locations of her magazine and coordinating events to give space for opportunities for others. She wants to travel the world speaking and motivating others to not quit in this journey of entrepreneurship.
Tell me more about what you do and who you help.
My name is Kenya R Ransom, Creator of #allthingsloop, multimedia platform introducing and highlighting people of color who are thriving within their industry and making an impact on the world.
We connect with leaders and influencers of color across all industries, giving space to their voices and celebrating the power that lives within their stories!
What inspired you to start this business?
I’ve always wanted to be in media of some sort but it wasn’t until I got older that I realized that I wanted to tell others stories in order to inspire them to keep going!
It wasn’t until recently that I wanted to give recognition to people that I call “hidden gems.” The ones that are really excelling in their industry. But because they don’t have the followers of millions that they don’t receive their roses. I want to highlight those people and make sure I tell their stories!
What’s a challenge you’ve faced along your entrepreneurial journey?
Even though this shouldn’t be a challenge, it really is for me and that’s to stay consistent in what I do. I start off great with everything and over time I usually get discouraged along the way and take a break.
I’ve pushed myself a whole lot this last year. I want to continue on this path because there is greatness in me!
Has being an introvert affected your business?
Yes absolutely! Being introverted has allowed me to miss out on some pretty great opportunities because I didn’t always show up as my full self. That hurt me!
Thank you for taking the time to share your story.
