Jannice Jones: Championing Neurodivergent Success

Meet Jannice Jones, a neurodivergent Positive Psychologist and founder of Jannice Jones Coaching in the UK. With a mission to empower neurodivergent individuals in the workplace, Janniceโ€™s strengths-based approach has transformed the lives of hundreds while fostering inclusive work environments.

From Personal Growth to Professional Impact

Janniceโ€™s journey into Positive Psychology was deeply personal. โ€œAfter leaving an abusive second marriage to a narcissist, I was moved by the concept of moving from learned helplessness to learned optimism,โ€ she shared. This transformative idea led her to pursue a masterโ€™s degree in Positive Psychology, during which she discovered her own neurodivergence.

Navigating her ADHD and autism in a high-stimulation environment was challenging, but lockdown provided her the space to reflect and heal.

โ€œI underwent EMDR therapy to process my trauma and emerged with a renewed sense of purpose,โ€ she said. In 2022, she founded Jannice Jones Coaching, blending her passion for neurodiversity with her expertise in Positive Psychology.

Empowering Neurodivergent Individuals and Their Teams

Over the past two and a half years, Jannice and her team have coached over 150 neurodivergent individuals and trained more than 500 managers and colleagues to better support them. โ€œOur approach is rooted in strengths-based coaching, helping individuals recognize and harness their unique abilities,โ€ Jannice explained.

Her work emphasizes hope and practical tools, offering clients the confidence to navigate their challenges and believe in their potential. โ€œMost of the world focuses on our challenges, but my mission is different,โ€ she said.

Being an introvert has heightened my awareness of othersโ€™ needs and led me to cultivate deeper, more meaningful connections.

Turning Introversion into a Superpower

Janniceโ€™s introversion has shaped her ability to connect deeply with clients and colleagues. โ€œBeing an introvert has heightened my awareness of othersโ€™ needs and led me to cultivate deeper, more meaningful connections,โ€ she shared.

When delivering workplace presentations or training, she uses the same resilience techniques she teaches. These techniques include power poses, deep breathing, recalling past successes, and embracing confidence.

Lessons in Hope and Resilience

For Jannice, hope is the cornerstone of resilience. โ€œWith hope, people can overcome incredible challenges and go further than they ever thought possible,โ€ she said. Inspired by Victor Franklโ€™s observations in concentration camps, Jannice believes that hope and a sense of meaning can galvanize us to move forward, no matter the obstacles.

Living the Dream

Janniceโ€™s dream life includes running a thriving neurodiversity training and coaching business with a team of 30 associate coaches, hosting a top-rated podcast, and sharing wisdom through a popular YouTube channel. โ€œWeโ€™d live in a beautiful home by the sea where my family could gather to celebrate life, love, and happiness,โ€ she said. With her passion and determination, this dream feels well within reach.
