When Karen Kossow couldn’t find the homeschool resources she needed, she didn’t wait for someone else to build them. She created them herself.
As a neurodivergent, introverted mom of two autistic children, Karen was constantly navigating a whirlwind of needs, overwhelm, and responsibilities both hers and theirs. Traditional tools weren’t cutting it. She wanted support systems that respected their energy, personalized their learning, and didn’t make her life harder in the process.
So she turned to something she was already familiar with: artificial intelligence.
“I’d been using ChatGPT for years in my marketing agency,” she explains. “It was a natural extension to start using it for homeschool, too.”
What began as a practical solution quickly turned into something bigger. Realizing there were no businesses dedicated to helping homeschool parents navigate AI use, she decided to share what she was building. AI Powered Homeschool was born . It’s a platform offering practical tools, guidance, and community for families like hers.
Designed by Someone Who Gets It
Karen doesn’t just serve her audience. She is her audience. That deep understanding shines through in everything she creates.
“Being an introvert shapes how I show up,” she shares. “I spend a lot of time thinking — okay, overthinking — and that gives me a wide-lens view of the systemic challenges families like mine face.”
Her quiet strengths like empathy, deep listening, thoughtful communication have become her superpowers. They allow her to coach with care and create resources that actually make a difference for neurodivergent families navigating an education system that wasn’t built for them.

Different Doesn’t Mean Wrong
Throughout her journey, Karen has learned one powerful truth: there’s no one right way to do things.
“You don’t have to do things the ‘normal’ way to be successful,” she says. “Different doesn’t mean wrong. In fact, it often means brilliant.”
That message is especially meaningful for families who’ve been told to fit a mold and for entrepreneurs who second-guess whether their unique ideas are valid.
Karen is proof that you don’t have to shout to make an impact. You just have to be brave enough to share what you’ve built.
Living the Vision, One Day at a Time
When asked about her dream life, Karen doesn’t talk about fame or fortune. She talks about impact.
Her dream? “Raising and graduating my kids in a way that works for them, helping other families do the same, and eventually traveling with my husband all while knowing I’ve created tools that keep making a difference.”
