Chelzee, why don’t you start by telling us about your dream life? Are you currently living in it?
Still working on it….my dream life would look like waking up to no alarm clock and getting to do the things I enjoy instead of hustling! Sometimes I work so much and so hard that I feel burned out.
Many entrepreneurs can relate to that. What type of work do you do?
I am a P&C and Life Insurance agent. I love doing farm insurance and small businesses as well as personal home/auto!
What inspired you to start this business?
I have been hustling for 10 years to create OTHERS’ dreams. I want to chase my own dreams!
What’s a challenge you’ve faced along your entrepreneurial journey so far?
I am a new entrepreneur so I do not have too many clients YET. I am still working on it. I would say my biggest struggle right now is keeping the bills paid while building clientele.
That is a common struggle. What methods do you currently use to bring in new clients?
I get a lot of referrals due to being social and active in my hometown. I also get a lot of referrals due to my personable and top-notch service! I would love to be able to branch off more though.
Is attending networking events a part of your marketing strategy?
YES. I love to learn and keep in touch with others as well as GROW!
Has being an introvert affected your business?
I wouldn’t say that I am an intro or extrovert. I am somewhere in the middle. I think knowing when to stay reserved and when to be more open are two advantages that I have. Of course, being part extrovert helps network and prospect.
How do you define success for yourself and your business?
Success within my business would be growing 10% + per year. Success within myself would be to do better even if it is 1% better each day.
What advice would you give to other introverted women who are just starting their own businesses?
NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK – even if it is on social media!
