Amélie’s path to professional organizing started with a career change after moving from Quebec to the U.S. and becoming a parent. “I read Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up at a pivotal moment,” she shared. “I realized that I could actually get paid while doing something I loved.” With that, she dove into organizing courses, joined NAPO, and became a Certified KonMari Consultant.
Organizing with Empathy
While TV often portrays professional organizers as loud, fast-talking extroverts, Amélie’s approach couldn’t be more different—and that’s her superpower. “I am introverted, calm, and a good listener,” she explained. “Many people need that kind of energy in order to make decisions when decluttering and really change their mindset about their relationship with their stuff.”
