Cristy Brusoe isnโt the type to shout from the rooftops and thatโs exactly what makes her so good at what she does.
As the founder of The BCPR Group, a boutique public relations agency based in Tampa, Florida, Cristy leads with intention, authenticity and heart. Her agency works with health and wellness brands, food and beverage startups and mission-driven founders to help them get seen in the media, in their communities and on the platforms that matter.
But Cristy didnโt always imagine herself at the head of her own firm. Early in her career, she worked in traditional PR agencies where volume often mattered more than value. โThe loudest voice in the room usually got the attention, even if it didnโt have the best ideas,โ she remembers.
As an introvert, Cristy preferred being behind the scenes, quietly building strategies and relationships. Eventually, she decided to create the kind of agency she had always dreamed of. It’s values-driven, people-first and deeply intentional about storytelling.
And it turns out, being an introvert has been her greatest asset. โItโs been my superpower,โ she says. โBeing introverted has made me a great listener and in PR, listening is everything.โ That quiet attentiveness allows her to deeply understand her clients and translate their stories in a way that truly connects. She also creates space for founders who may not feel comfortable in the spotlight to discover their own voice and share it with confidence.
Some of the most impactful moments in my career have come from asking thoughtful questions, not shouting for attention.
Cristy has built her business around the idea that you donโt have to be loud to be heard. โThereโs room in leadership, in business, and in storytelling for quiet strength,โ she says. โSome of the most impactful moments in my career have come from asking thoughtful questions, not shouting for attention.โ
That quiet strength flows into every part of her life. When asked about her dream life, Cristy smiles at how close she already is. She gets to work with clients she believes in, for causes she deeply cares about. Her home office is cozy, her cat is close by, and sheโs found a rhythm that respects her energy and honors her boundaries. Her future dream is a few more slow mornings, a peaceful lake house, and time to mentor the next generation of women and LGBTQ+ professionals to lead on their terms.
Cristy Brusoe proves that introverted leadership isnโt just possible; itโs powerful. With grace, strategy, and a whole lot of heart, sheโs redefining what it means to be seen in business.
